Below you will see some of the questions we have been asked about playing tennis, getting started with tennis, junior tennis & more. We hope you find these helpful, if not contact us for more information.

No, you don’t need to own a tennis racquet for your first lesson.

Our Coaches will have equipment – such as tennis rackets, balls, etc – that you can borrow during your lesson.

The best place to learn is from qualified coaches.  Caoches certifiesd as teaching pros witht the PTR and USPTA are the best options. 

While it can be beneficial to learn from a better player, try to find a partner with a similar skill level to start.

If you’re just getting started in tennis, it won’t take you long to pick up the basics and have fun on court with friends and family.

If you want to speed up your progress, the best thing to do is get a private lesson or join a group class. 

You should aim for 2-3 sessions per week, hitting with a partner, group or private lessons. Ball machine practice, or hitting on a wall are other options. 

Forehand, backhand, serve and volley are the best to focus on initially to begin your tennis journey.
